Have you been to Lotte World here in Seoul, South Korea? If not, you have to come check out all that Lotte has to offer. Lotte World has the mall, an aquarium, a cute cafe, the sky tower, and they have an adventure park. It is filled with so much to do that you need more than just a day to do everything. Lotte World is known as an entertainment complex as you can tell by all the things I mentioned about it. Let me tell you more about these various places here in this blog starting right now with Lotte World Aquarium.

Lotte World Aquarium

Lotte World Aquarium is a beautiful experience in itself. It is an aquarium that is located in Lotte World Mall in Seoul, South Korea. It is a fun, popular attraction for locals and tourists that gives a fascinating underwater world to explore. This aquarium has over 650 species of 55,000 sea friends, including colorful fish, sharks, stingrays, seahorses, turtles, jellyfish, octopuses, and more. Visitors can learn about the behavior, habitats, and conservation efforts related to these fascinating creatures right here in this aquarium.

There is so much to explore when visiting the Lotte World Aquarium. What is so cool about the aquarium is that it has Korea’s largest seawater tank, which is 25 meters wide. When visiting here you will see that they have thirteen different themes in five oceans of the world where you can learn about the marine animals that live in these places. All visitors can join in on the fun of exploring these exhibits that are here, such as the Ocean Life Tank, Coral Reef Zone, Amazonian World, Penguin's Playground, and the Touch Pool.

You can find several interactive experiences in the aquarium to enhance your understanding and enjoyment of sea life. Some of these activities include feeding demonstrations, as well as visitors can interact with marine animals like starfish and sea cucumbers, and educational presentations by the intelligent staff at the aquarium. Sometimes the aquarium even has special events and programs like educational workshops, themed exhibits, and seasonal displays. These special events give visitors even more to learn about marine life and what they can do for these wonderful creatures. When you are done visiting the aquarium on your way out you can visit their cafe and grab a snack or their gift shop where you can purchase marine themed merchandise and souvenirs.

Visiting the Lotte World Aquarium is a great way to discover the underwater world and gain a deeper appreciation for our many sea friends. Whether you want to learn more about marine biology, enjoy observing sea creatures, or want a family-friendly experience, the aquarium offers an immersive and educational adventure for all visitors of all ages. You can actually purchase tickets through Shuttle Delivery at a discount, Aquarium Admission Tickets. After visiting the Lotte World Aquarium, I ended up visiting a really amazing cafe. You just will not believe what kind of cafe it ended up being, it actually turned out to be an aquarium cafe that I will tell you about next.

Aqua Garden Cafe & Aquarium Lotte World Tower

While there are plenty of shops and a food court in the Lotte World Mall there is still nothing like this hidden gem, the Aqua Garden Cafe & Aquarium. While the Lotte World Aquarium is truly amazing there is still nothing like finding a place where you do not have to pay a fee to see beautiful sea life. When visiting this cafe just like any other cafe in Seoul, South Korea you just have to buy a drink and enjoy the view but this time it is the view of various marine life that they have in the cafe.

When you enter the cafe, you just have to follow the unique tanks of fish that will lead you to the baristas who are ready to take your order. This place has so many desserts and drinks to choose from that it is honestly hard to choose. When I visited, I got their Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie. The smoothie cost 9,500 won which is 7.29 in US dollars. It was a very delicious smoothie.

I loved how their cafe is set up. As soon as you get your drink and you turn around you see all these seats up against the wall that are right near all these beautiful tanks of various sea life. There are even some seats that are facing these unique aquariums. They have fish that are big and small but all of them are very bright and colorful. In another part of the cafe, they have these little pieces of land for fish tanks that are for purchase. They also have little sea turtles that are under these light bulbs just swimming around in their tank and sitting on their own little pieces of land enjoying life.

I would have to say that this is by far one of my favorite cafes. I only wish I would have tasted one of their desserts. If you visit this cafe while you are on a trip to Lotte World here in Seoul, South Korea, remember to try one of their desserts for me because I know they just had to be that good. Another cool place to visit while you are at Lotte World is the Sky Tower. I am going to tell you all about it next.

Lotte World Seoul Sky Tower

The Seoul Sky Observatory can be found at the top of the Lotte World Tower at floors 117-123. The Lotte World Tower is the 5th tallest building in the world. The building has 123 stories and is 555 meters high. This building is the tallest building in South Korea. When visiting the Seoul Sky Observatory, you are able to take in a panoramic view of the capital of South Korea which is a 360 degree view of Seoul that can only be found here at the tower.

Just like any other observation deck you have to take an elevator to get there. This elevator is called the Sky Shuttle. It runs at a speed of 600 meters per minute. A tip I have for anyone going up the Sky Shuttle is that your ears or your child's ears may pop so maybe have some chewing gum with you and chew it right before getting on the elevator so your ears will not pop. They have videos playing on the walls of the Sky Shuttle so that the ride up to the Seoul Sky Observatory may not feel that long by the time you get up there.

The observation deck has glass windows around the whole thing for everyone to be able to enjoy the view. Something I learned about Seoul Sky that I thought was pretty cool was that they hold the Guinness World Record for highest glass floored observatory in the world. While it is fun to look around the observation deck when you are ready to leave you can go to their souvenir shop and purchase a souvenir of your choice for yourself or a loved one. They also have a cafe that has drinks and desserts on floor 119. There is also a lounge for anyone who wants a refreshing glass of wine while looking out at the view of Seoul on floor 123.

If you are looking to purchase a ticket for Seoul Sky you can buy them right on the shuttle website Lotte World Seoul Sky. I hope you are able to enjoy the view of South Korea’s capital and know that you can visit Seoul Sky any time of the year to see all seasons of Seoul. Once you have checked out the view, the gift shop, and cafe at Seoul Sky you can head over to Lotte World Adventures and Magic Island as we are about to do in this blog for our final place in Lotte World.

Lotte World

Lotte World is known as one of the largest indoor theme parks in the world. It brings millions of people to visit its attractions each year. Lotte World is made up of two parts. Lotte World Adventure is their indoor theme park and Magic Island is the outdoor theme park.

Lotte World Adventure is actually located inside a huge dome shaped building that is made of four floors. Each floor has various themed zones and attractions. They have live shows, an arcade zone, thrill rides, along with different shops and restaurants like Fridays. One of their most popular rides is the “French Revolution”. It is a high speed roller coaster. The ride I thought was fun was the “Flume Ride”. It is a water based ride where you are sitting in a boat with 3 other people.

Magic Island is of course located outside of the dome. It has several different rides and attractions as well. One of the coolest things about Magic Island is their large artificial lake. People are able to see performances and they are also able to do paddle boat rides on the lake. Magic Island has more thrill rides than Lotte World Adventure does. They have the “Gyro Drop”, “Gyro Spin”, “Gyro Swing” and a roller coaster called “Atlantis”. Even though they have these thrill rides a lot of people enjoy their “Swing Tree”. The “Swing Tree” is a good ride for parents to get on with their smaller children to enjoy together.

Another thing I found interesting that I did not know much about is that people tend to dress up in uniforms when they visit Lotte World. It turns out that this trend started back in the 2000s when adults would dress up in uniforms as a prank for April Fool’s Day but nowadays people just do it for the fun of it while visiting any of the theme parks in South Korea. You can find a uniform rental shop right inside of the Lotte World called Ehwa Korean School Uniform Rental on floor B1. You can go on Klook: Ehwa Korean School Uniform Rental to purchase the rental for the uniform at a discounted price and you just have to show them a valid id with the voucher from Klook and they will help you pick out the right uniform.

Another trend they have are people wearing headbands while in the theme park. You can purchase a headband right inside of Lotte World Adventure or at Magic Island. If you are looking to purchase your ticket for Lotte World at a discount before heading there you can go on the Shuttle website and get your tickets, Lotte World Adventure. Lotte World is a wonderful place for families to enjoy their time together or a group of friends to come together and just have fun.

Summary

Now that you have seen all these things there are to do in the world of Lotte, how could you not want to visit? My favorite place to visit out of all the places would probably have to be the aquarium and the Aqua Garden Cafe & Aquarium. As you can see, I am a bit biased because I just love seeing the various sea life in the aquariums. I also enjoyed Seoul Sky because I had fun creating photos of the skyline of Seoul. After reading this blog I want you to sit and think about what place you would want to visit at Lotte World Seoul, is it just one place or maybe is it all of them. Then once you have thought about it, just get up one weekend and go visit Lotte World and have a grand time with your family and friends.
