The Han River, also known as Hangang (한강), is an iconic and picturesque waterway that flows through the heart of the capital city, Seoul. During the autumn season, the riverbanks become a stunning display of red, orange, and yellow leaves on the trees, creating a serene and picturesque environment.
The Han River is surrounded by several parks and green spaces, including Yeouido Park, Ttukseom Hangang Park, and Banpo Hangang Park. People can enjoy leisurely walks, picnics, and bike rides along the river. It's a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle, providing a chance to connect with nature and witness the changing seasons right in the heart of Seoul.
These parks also host various events and festivals throughout the year. Two of the most popular events in fall is the Hangang Drone Light Show and the International Fireworks Festival. We recommend picking up some delicious food and drinks and arriving early for a good spot!
