Welcome to our guide to Picture Perfect Places for TikTok and Instagram! In the era of social media, capturing stunning visuals and sharing them with the world has become an art form. If you're looking to elevate your TikTok and Instagram game with breathtaking locations that are sure to make your followers stop and double-tap, you've come to the right place. I have been fortunate enough to travel to some pretty amazing places so far here in Seoul, South Korea.
In this guide, we'll take you on tour of some of the most picturesque destinations across Seoul. From vibrant tourism spots to enchanting towns, I have curated a collection of spots that are made for creating stunning content that will leave your viewers in awe of all the places you visit in Seoul. Each location has a uniqueness about them that will capture that perfect “wow” factor. I will be taking you on an adventure to the Starfield Library, Bukchon Hanok Village, and some of the best photo places in town. Let’s just go to our first stop, which is the Starfield Library.
Starfield Library (별마당도서관)
The Starfield Library (별마당도서관) is a huge tourist attraction. If you watch k-dramas you might have seen the library in a few shows such as the following Record of Youth (2020), Lovestruck in the City (2020-2021), Kkondae Intern (2020), and The Beauty Inside (2018). The Starfield Library (별마당도서관) opened on May 31st, 2017. The library features a breathtaking curved bookshelf that stretches across multiple floors, resembling a galaxy of books suspended into space. The owner of Starfield Library, Shinsegae invested about 600 billion won (383,998,050.00 US dollars) to create the library. In order to preserve the library, it will cost about 500 million won (383,998.05 US dollars) a year. It is in the center of Starfield COEX Mall which happens to be the largest underground mall in Asia. You can get into the library through the mall or from outside of the mall.
When visiting the library you may get lucky and end up watching a performance of some sort there. This library contains 70,000 books that have a collection of different genres from the humanities and economics to books on hobby and in foreign language, as well as celebrity books, and even e-books. As you wander around the library's aisles, you'll find cozy little places for you to read, comfortable seating areas, and natural light coming through the ceiling, creating a beautiful ambience. The library also provides access to digital resources and interactive displays, allowing visitors to delve deeper into the realms of astronomy and space exploration. If you get tired of taking your amazing selfies for Instagram and TikTok you can check out the library’s 600 domestic and international magazines and just sit in one of those cozy places, relax, and read. You cannot check out the books in this library but it is still fun to browse around. Now that you know about the Starfield Library (별마당도서관), let's go to our next picture perfect place, Bukchon Hanok Village. You are going to love this place.

Bukchon Hanok Village (북촌한옥마을)
Welcome to Bukchon Hanok Village (북촌한옥마을) where the past and the present come together. Dating back to over 600 years, the village is a living museum of traditional Korean architecture. The narrow alleyways are lined with amazing preserved hanbok houses. The hanok homes have unique tiled roofs, wooden lattice windows, and graceful courtyards. In the Korean language Bukchon means northern village. Jongmyo Royal Palace, Gyeongbok Palace, and Changdeok Palace surround the village that is located at the top of a hill. It is a very touristy place so it is very much a picture perfect place for social media users. When you visit you will see tourists with plenty of selfie sticks taking photos of themselves or making videos. You will also see people dressed in hanbok walking around doing the same thing. Hanbok is traditional Korean clothing that you can easily rent at a Hanbok rental store. Bukchon Hanok Village (북촌한옥마을) is a residential area so they ask that when you are walking around that you talk softly and not be disrespectful towards the people that live in that area.
The Bukchon area has about five different neighborhoods, Jae-dong, Gye-dong, Insadong, Gahoe-dong, and Wonseo-dong. These five neighborhoods used to be an area where nobility lived and high ranking officers during the Joseon dynasty era. After several wars people who were just your average person started to move into the area. Besides the several homes you see in the village, this place is filled with several art galleries, workshops, and cultural centers. I was able to find a hidden gem while visiting the area called Bukchon Best Observatory. It was a beautiful little area. They had their own garden, and a little art museum filled with beautiful works of art.
The next amazing place I am going to talk about that you just have to visit for photos is Wiggle Wiggle (위글위글집 도산).

Wiggle Wiggle (위글위글집 도산)
When you first step in front of Wiggle Wiggle (위글위글집 도산) you notice how different the building is from the buildings that are surrounding it. It has a dark black tone mixed with the bright colors that are used for the windows and flowers to add more uniqueness to their building. On the inside of the building, it is filled with pure fun and joy with the bright colors covering the walls and the floors. It makes you feel like you’re taking a jump into the past of the 70s. At Wiggle Wiggle (위글위글집 도산) you are able to take some really cute photos in their photobooths. They have headbands, and bathrobes that you can wear just for fun in your photos while you are in the photobooths. They even have umbrellas that you can use while taking your photo in one of their bathrobes.
Wiggle Wiggle (위글위글집 도산) is actually a Korean lifestyle brand. They have their own store for shopping so when you walk into the place, they have shopping bags you can use for when you want to purchase something. Their brand is all about using fun and playful colors just like how their bathrobes are. You can even buy one of their adorable bathrobes if you like. One of their most popular rooms is their Flip Room where it makes you feel like you are upside down.
Another one of their rooms called the Wiggle Station is also super cute. It reminds you of sitting at a bus station or subway station. In the Flip Room and Wiggle Station you are just taking your own photos of yourself and friends with your phone. These two places are free to take photos. I think this is probably the best photo booth place in Seoul, South Korea. Our final stop that I am going to talk about next is Gentle Monster Haus Dosan.
